Dope Music Fridays
Since I have been posting again, I have been considering music for #dopemusicfridays. Usually, it is something I have heard or have been listening to recently. I used my Last FM (http://www.last.fm/user/in3br14t3d) account for a little help but here it goes:
Peanut Butter Wolf - Summer's End A tribute to the end of the summer and beginning of autumn.
DJ Shadow - Def Surrounds Us He released this single for twentyfour hours via djshadow.bandcamp.com. The link is dead and the promotion is over, but I can't let that stop me from promoting this incredible artist.
Nujabes - Voice Of Autumn for obvious reasons. R.I.P. Nujabes.
Juice/ MC Juice - Sincerely This ill freestyle battle rapper from Chicago beat Eminem in Scribble Jam '97. 'nuff said.
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Give It Away I was listening to Blood Sugar Sex Magik recently and it brought me back in time.
Bonus: The Roots - Fire feat. John Legend In honor of their live concert that was streamed on YouTube on September 23. Cop their new album together, "Wake Up!" (http://www.amazon.com/Wake-Up-John-Legend-Roots/dp/B003TXKSWK/ref=sr_1_1?s=gateway&ie=UTF8&qid=1285297832&sr=8-1)
Update: Looks like the Legend/ Roots link is dead. And I'm having a problem uploading audio.
Update: I still can not upload tracks to be listened to through the site so I have included a download link.

A Change @ Def Jux
It isn't often that I come to admire a record label that distributes/ produces for a number of artists that I enjoy. Rawkus was one with Black Star, Company Flow, Smut Peddlers, and everyone else on Soundbombing 2. Then label went defunct and the artists went their separate ways. Then El-P decided to start his own label, Definitive Jux where he and many others (Aesop Rock, Cage, Cannibal Ox, RJD2, C-Rayz Walz, Mr. Lif, Murs, and more) made beautiful music together. But now there will be changes. What happened? I'll let El-P explain.
So in honor/ memory of record label with a selection of artist I enjoy listening to, some music:
